Report: Some Ingredients In Dog Food Lead To Canine Heart Condition

Certain types of dog foods are giving canines heart disease.  The Food and Drug Administration says dog foods made from peas, lentils or potatoes are giving dogs canine dilated cardiomyopathy.  It's a condition that causes an enlarged heart and sometimes fatal congestive heart failure.  The FDA warns that it's more about what is in the food, and not what brand it is.  Symptoms of dilated cardiomyopathy are coughing, weight loss and lethargy.
